Geometric Origin of Non-Bloch PT Symmetry Breaking
Published in Physical Review Letters, 2024
This paper studies parity-time symmetry in non-Hermitian systems with the skin effect and shows that non-Bloch PT symmetry breaking is governed by a precise geometric mechanism. In particular, the transition is tied to cusp formation in the generalized Brillouin zone, which leads to an exact threshold formula and a new class of non-Bloch van Hove singularities in linear response.
