Amoeba Formulation of Non-Bloch Band Theory in Arbitrary Dimensions

Published in Physical Review X, 2024

This work develops a geometric formulation of the non-Hermitian skin effect and non-Bloch band theory in arbitrary spatial dimensions using the amoeba of a complex Laurent polynomial. The resulting framework gives efficient access to spectra, generalized Brillouin zones, and eigenstate profiles in settings where higher-dimensional non-Bloch physics is otherwise difficult to analyze.
