Non-Bloch PT Symmetry Breaking: Universal Threshold and Dimensional Surprise
Published in A Festschrift in Honor of the C N Yang Centenary, 2022
This work analyzes non-Bloch PT symmetry in the presence of the non-Hermitian skin effect and finds a sharp distinction between one dimension and higher dimensions. The main result is that the PT-breaking threshold in two and higher dimensions generically vanishes in the large-system limit, revealing a universal interplay among PT symmetry, spatial dimensionality, and boundary-sensitive non-Hermitian physics.
